Terms of Accommodation

 

Reservations
At time of reservation request - Bay of Islands Home Holidays will forward to the proposed guest a Reservation Form with all accommodation details.
It is the guest’s responsibility to check all details - enter their full name, home address and contact phone number, then email or fax the reservation form back to Home Holidays for confirmation of the reservation – pending payment of deposit.
Home Holidays will confirm the acceptance of the reservation by email, fax or phone.

Tariffs
All tariffs quoted are in New Zealand currency and are inclusive of all taxes.
All New Zealand Public Holidays are charged at Peak Tariffs.
Home Holidays endeavour to ensure that all tariffs quoted on the website are current, however the information is subject to change without prior notice.

Deposits
A deposit of 50% of the total accommodation cost is payable to confirm the reservation.
For reservations two or more months in advance, a deposit of 30% is required to confirm the reservation, with a further 20% payable 1 month prior to arrival date.
Balance of the total accommodation cost is payable on arrival.
Payments can be made by direct credit or cheque – or by credit card if indicated on the particular accommodation listing.
Credit Card details must be phoned or faxed to Home Holidays – we do not advise that these details be forwarded by email

Cancellation Policy
Home Owners are reliant on advance bookings, therefore in the event that we are unable to replace a cancelled reservation the following applies-
Cancellation within 7 days prior to arrival date incurs 100% charge of the total reservation cost.
Cancellation within 30 days prior to arrival date incurs a 25% charge of the total reservation cost.
Cancellations will be acknowledged in writing.

Refunds
Where a refund is applicable it will normally be paid by cheque or direct credit to the guests account.
Credit Card refunds will only be credited to the card they were charged against.

Reservation Alterations
Request for alteration of booking dates on a reservation are subject to agreement by the holiday home owner.
Any alteration of dates will be confirmed in writing.

Arrival & Departure Times.
Your Holiday Home will be available for occupation at 2.00pm on your arrival date.
We request you contact us just prior to your arrival in the Bay of Islands, so we can arrange to meet you - to show you to the accommodation.
On departure day the holiday home must be vacated by no later than 10.00am.

Home Owner's Conditions
Home Holidays is acting on behalf of the Holiday Home Property Owner – the agreement for holiday accommodation is between you (the guest) and the home owner.
The guest is responsible for the holiday home during the duration of their stay. Any breakages and damage that may occur during the holiday will be billed to the guest (for immediate payment) at the cost of repair or replacement.
The maximum guest numbers accepted for the home are indicated on the listing and must not be exceeded without prior permission of the home owner.
Generally the minimum stay at any holiday home is 3 nights – this applies to all Statutory holiday weekends in particular.
